Don’t Wait and Ready Now

Don’t wait. That’s the message on my weekly intention card. It’s the sister of  “Ready Now” – a theme of Baptiste Yoga. Don’t wait, you are ready now.

I think it’s a wonderful message for this week when we celebrate freedom and independence in America. We have the freedom to create the life we want to live, if only we take action. It reminds me of one of the themes in Hamilton – those who wait and those who act, the characters who wait for it and those who are non-stop.

“Oh, you get love for it. You get hate for it
You get nothing if you…
Wait for it, wait for it, wait!”

 – The Room Where It Happens

Don’t wait to be grateful, patient, curious or excited. Don’t wait to explore, go on an adventure, or see life as an expedition. Don’t wait to be loving, kind, and compassionate. Be ready to change. Be ready to create change.

Don’t wait to do the thing that would make the difference right now. Don’t wait for someone else to act. Be ready to make your dreams come true. Don’t wait for the perfect moment.

The moment is now, you are ready now, I am ready now – so what are you waiting for?

Happy Independence Day!
